CDN: content delivery price per gigabyte

A CDN serves static content (images, video, JS/CSS) from an edge server near the user — faster loads and less origin load. We compare egress price ($/GB) in Europe and North America. The gap is large: the cheapest is a tenth of the most expensive, and Cloudflare offers CDN as a flat rate with no per-GB charge.

How to choose?

Bunny.net is by far the cheapest per gigabyte ($0.01/GB) and still fast — best value for most projects. KeyCDN is another affordable option with tiered pricing. Cloudflare is different: its CDN is unmetered (no per-GB billing) even on the free plan — if you do not need advanced features, it can be effectively free.

Fastly and AWS CloudFront cost more per gigabyte but offer advanced edge features (Fastly: real-time config, VCL; CloudFront: tight AWS integration and 1 TB permanent free tier). Remember regions: these prices are EU/NA — Asia, Africa and South America cost 2–3× more on all providers.
